Post your animal for sale or adoption, absolutely free!
Is listing free?
Absolutely! Listing your animal is free for both buyers and sellers. No sneaky fees… for now, at least!
Does animal.my get involved in the transaction between the buyer and seller?
Nope, we’re not your matchmaker. We just provide the stage for the marketplace drama to unfold, but we don’t play a part in the transaction.
How do I add my listing to the animal.my portal?
Ready to list your item? Here’s the step-by-step guide to fame:
- Create an account
- Post your listing
- Fill in all the juicy details and agree to the T&Cs (we promise they’re not that scary)
- Submit your listing
- Your listing will be reviewed by us before it goes live (we have standards, you know!)
How long do my listings stay live?
Listings will hang out for 30 days. Once your item is sold, kindly mark it as sold, so we don’t have a stampede of eager buyers. If it’s still available after 30 days, your listing will be suspended for 15 days, and if you want to try again, just repost it.
Do I need to be an animal.my customer to purchase online?
Not at all! You don’t need an account to make a purchase, just find what you want and grab it!
Can I cancel my order at any time?
For cancellations, you’ll need to chat directly with the seller. We don’t handle the drama here. You’re on your own for that one!
How to Identify Fraudulent Activity
Ask yourself these critical questions
- Does the price seem unusually low or too good to be true?
- Is the individual acting suspiciously or evasively?
- Do the pictures provided accurately match the animal being sold?
- Is the seller requesting payment before allowing you to view the animals, or refusing to allow an inspection?
- Are you receiving persistent, aggressive messages from the seller?
What to Do If You Encounter Fraud
- Reject or block any payment requests coming from unknown individuals or services.
- Immediately report the incident to the authorities.
- Report the listing to us on animal.my so we can take swift action by removing it and blocking the fraudulent account.
How to Protect Yourself from Fraud
We strongly advise using Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions to reduce the risk of fraudulent activity, as it ensures the buyer only pays after receiving the goods.
How to Report Fraudulent Activity
To report a person, listing, or message, follow these steps:
- To report a person: Visit their Profile page and click the “Report” button.
- To report a listing: Go to the listing page and click the “Report” button at the top.
- To report a message: Click the “Report” button at the top of the message thread.
When filing a report, please select the appropriate reason and provide as much detail as possible, including any supporting evidence. We cannot investigate reports lacking detailed comments or proof.
What If the Item I Purchased Doesn’t Match the Listing?
As a platform, we act as an intermediary, and unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds. We recommend contacting the seller directly to resolve the issue.
To avoid such issues in the future, we strongly recommend opting for Cash on Delivery (COD), as this method safeguards both buyers and sellers in case of disputes.
